Review
SDL TRADOS MultiTerm 7 is a terminology aid for translators. Well, actually, anyone who needs to save time when looking up terminology will benefit from the many features MultiTerm has to offer. The application creates terminology databases that you can use with SDL Trados. The application creates those databases in a way that is most useful for translators. It creates language fields, so the application always knows which term is supposed to look up and what language pair to search. If you use Trados, you will notice at the right corner that there is a blank field. That is where your MultiTerm databases will appear. When a word that is in one of your glossaries appears on a translation, MultiTerm will look it up for you and suggest you a match so that you don't have to open your glossary on another application. This is the best use for it that I can think of. In my line of work, MultiTerm has the ability of saving me hours of work, and thus, increases my productivity. Many formats can be used and you can also import your .XLS glossaries to use them with MultiTerm. |
